Read the board before rushing

Matcha Match contains sixteen cards and eight matching shape pairs. A move is counted when you turn over the second card of an attempt, rather than once for every card you touch. Your aim is to find all eight pairs. There is no countdown demanding fast reactions, so a short pause to remember a position is often more useful than clicking several cards quickly.

Give every card an address

Divide the board into rows and columns in your head. Remember a revealed shape with a position such as top row, third card. Start by revealing cards systematically so that new information is easy to place. When the first card of an attempt matches something you have seen, choose that known partner instead of using the second flip to explore randomly. If you do not know its partner, reveal a fresh location and remember both shapes.

Respect the reveal window

Two nonmatching cards briefly remain visible and then turn back over. Wait for that pair to settle before trying to reveal more cards. Repeatedly tapping a revealed or matched card does not create useful information. On a keyboard, Tab moves between available card buttons and Enter selects one. The card labels identify their positions, and revealed cards also identify the shape. Already matched pairs remain visible and leave fewer unknown locations to manage.

Use a calm endgame

Once several pairs are solved, treat the remaining positions as a smaller board. Avoid reopening a known mismatch merely because the shapes are familiar. When only one pair remains, the remaining two cards must match; there is no need to guess among solved cards. The completion message reports the moves used in your run. Lower move counts reflect more efficient memory, but finishing at your own pace is a valid goal.

Saved progress and fresh boards

The board, matched pairs and move count stay in this browser. Refreshing resumes that run, with unfinished nonmatching reveals settled. Restart creates a new shuffled board. Cards are randomized, so a fixed sequence of positions from a previous run is not a walkthrough for the next one. Clearing browser data removes the save. This game has no cheat menu or externally verified global leaderboard; compare your own approach rather than invented scores.
